Y’all - this book was SO GOOD!

I was stoked when I saw Ali Hazelwood announce that she was writing a paranormal romance between a werewolf and a vampire. As someone who cut my teeth on fantasy and paranormal YA novels, this was like a dream come true to see one of my favorite romcom authors step into a new subgenre and do an astounding job at it.

I want to first say that the main character names in Bride were amazing - Misery and Lowe. Sometimes a name just fits and both characters had names that were perfect for them. Now the second, and most important, thing I want to say is the CHEMISTRY between these two was incredible. I recommend this to everyone!

I absolutely love the fated mates trope, and in this case with a mixed-species couple, it was so fun to read the little clues that Lowe was vehemently trying to ignore and deny, while Misery wasn’t immediately aware of the bond, but being the observant queen that she is, wasn’t far behind in figuring it out.
